Tuesday, May 31

My dad came home tonight! I was so excited to see him!
My grandma took me to get a haircut tonight. I don't have to study for any exams/tests because my amazing teachers let me be exempt. I was not at school most of last week, because I was spending time with my mom. My teachers said that since I wasn't there, I could skip them, due to our circumstances. I'm so glad I go to a Christian school!
Anyway, my mom is showing more signs that her time is coming soon. If you haven't read my parents blog yet, my dad said that my mom's face is getting thinner, and her arms are getting bonier. Please pray that her death will be peaceful.

Job 5:9 "He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted."

  1. I am praying for you and your family and you are all in my thoughts. I am following the blogs with my children who are very young like you. They pray for you every night. May God give you strength and help guide you through. My daughter wanted to share the footprints for children with you as this hangs above her bed:

The Lord will always walk with you
    along lifes blessed beach,
His footprints there beside your own,
    always within reach.
    Two sets of footprints,
    side-by-side,
    from dawn to setting sun,
Yet there may come a day my child,
    When you'll see only one.
But do not think the Lord has left you-
    Nothing could be more wrong.
Its just that he has picked you up,
    to carry you along.

    God bless

  3. Hi Ashley, I have been reading your parents' blog for a while now. They are amazing people and your family seems so strong and loving. You are going through such a hard time but remember that your mom will always be with you, even if you can't see her. I lost my mom when I was a young girl too and it was hard but I feel her around me all the time and I know she is at peace in heaven. It will be hard but I promise it gets better. You have many people around the world whom you have never met praying for you and your family.
    Love,
    Haylie
